Extremadura: A Region of Contrasts with History, Nature, and Gastronomy

Accommodation at the Velada Hotel ****. Top Mérida Tour: This is undoubtedly the most complete excursion of all those that take place in the city. During our route you will discover with amazement the archaeological, artistic and historical heritage of the most important Roman enclave in Spain since its foundation in 25 B.C. until its declaration by Unesco as a World Heritage Site in 1993 (estimated duration 3 hours). Lunch at Prima Porta Restaurant in Merida or similar and accommodation.

Breakfast and around 09:30 hrs we will leave for the Jandilla Livestock (Merida), we will discover how the fighting bull lives in nature, making a full 4x4 visit of two hours, we will have a snack in the middle of the field or in the area of the farmhouse, and we will have lunch in the hall of memories of the livestock.

Lunch at the Cortijo de la Ganaderia Jandilla. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast and departure to Olivenza at around 9 am for a private guided tour of the best places to see that will help to know all the charming corners of this beautiful town in the province of Badajoz, located near the border of Spain with Portugal. Departure to Badajoz to have lunch at Rio Restaurant (Hotel Rio*** - Badajoz). In the afternoon we go to the center of Badajoz. Return around 19 hrs to the hotel Velada in Merida for dinner.

Breakfast and departure to BODEGAS MARTINEZ PAIVA. Visit to BODEGAS PAIVA: We will visit the wineries, know the vineyards, feel and discover the process of wine making... enjoy a tour of Bodegas Martinez Paiva that will culminate with the tasting of a white wine and a red wine. Lunch at the Paiva Winery Restaurant. Departure to our hotel in Merida for dinner and accommodation.

After breakfast, free time until departure back home. End of services.
