Fort William este a doua cea mai mare așezare din Highlands, Scoția, cu aproximativ 10.000 de locuitori. Fort William este un important centru turistic, cu Glen Coe situat la sud, Aonach Mòr la nord și Glenfinnan la vest, pe Drumul către Insule. Este un centru pentru drumeții și alpinism datorită proximității sale față de Ben Nevis și multe alte munți Munro. Este cunoscut și pentru pista sa de biciclete de munte din apropiere. Trebuie să vizitați West Highland Museum, un muzeu vechi de istorie a Highlandului situat chiar lângă High Street. Este deschis de luni până sâmbătă între orele 10.00 - 16.00, intrarea este gratuită.
