Take in more of the beauty of Cairo and Alexandria on this three-day Mini Adventure. Embark on a local food tour, visit the revolutionary Tahrir Square, explore the catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, see Pompey's Pillar... the list of highlights is simply too long for this short yet epic tour.
Day 1: CairoMeet your fellow travellers and CEO for a welcome briefing at 12:30pm before heading out to explore the city. We'll head first to ancient Coptic Cairo, where we visit the Hanging Church, St Sergius Church, and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Continue to Islamic Cairo with visits to the Citadel and Mohamed Ali mosque. Take a felucca ride on the Nile before heading to downtown Cairo for a foodie tour.
Day 2: Cairo/AlexandriaTravel to Alexandria, stopping to visit the Monasteries of Wadi Natrun en route. Founded by Alexander the Great around 331BC, Alexandria is Egypt's only Mediterranean city with a distinctly European atmosphere. After a seafood lunch, head to the fort and citadel of Qaitbay, and the new Alexandria Library.
Day 3: Alexandria/CairoContinue exploring this beautiful city with a walk through the Montazah Summer Palace gardens and a visit to the ancient Roman theatre. Gaze up at Pompey's Pillar and explore the underground catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. Enjoy lunch then travel back to Cairo where the tour ends.
